The Cost Car Petrol Vs Diesel
When buying a car not only do we have to set price and believe that this is the only charge that we have. Sure more than one knows what I mean, and not just on gasoline. So we do a simulation of the cost of a car through the market and its maintenance.
To do this we will take two cars:
- 3p Toyota Auris Diesel Auris 1.4 D-4D Luna 90cv version with a combined average fuel consumption of just five liters per 100 kms Price: 18,060 Euros
- 3p Toyota Auris Auris Petrol 1.4 VVT-i Luna 97cv version with a combined average fuel consumption of 6.9 liters per 100 km. Price 16 790 Euros
This car has 15,000 km revisions. Suppose we perform an average of 30,000 km. year. and that the life of the car is 360,000 miles we have a comprehensive insurance in the first 6 years and then to third and we are a driver over 25 years.
The cost of insurance we will assume that is the same for the two cars: the first six years we will have a comprehensive insurance at a cost of 500 Euros and then a third-party insurance at a cost of 270 Euros, is that some people People will pay more and pay less.
The revisions we are going to do in Guadalajara. The revisions included oil changes filters etc.
What is not included are 205/55R16 tires, we will assume a cost of about EUR 80 per tire and a length of 40,000 km away from the tires, and a parallel of 30 Euros per second change.
Suppose an average of about 300 Euros of unscheduled breakdowns each year, this information can change much from one car to another, or depending on driving style or brand of engine etc.
