2010 Kia Forte Koup Just what people need in this time of crisis: a car with style, sportsmanship, character, aggressiveness and … affordable. Kia has just opened in U.S. dealerships with sporty coupe version of Forte, better known as Forte Koup. This front-drive two-seater offers mechanical compartment in two options, both of petrol: the 2.0i 16v with a capacity of 156 horses, they may well be driven by a five-speed manual transmission or an automatic four. Its average consumption of 9.41 L/100 km in city and 6.92 L/100 km in highway.
The other option is greater performance with a 2.4i 16v, its 174 horsepower can be injected with a gearbox six-speed manual to an average consumption of 10.69 L/100 km in city and 7.35 L/100 km in highway , or an automatic five with a consumption of 10.35 L/100 km in city and 7.59 L/100 km in highway.
In this Korean sports are two versions or finishes, the EX and SX.
The EX is characterized by its bumper painted body color, heated mirrors with integrated flashing lights and 16 inch alloy tires. This version can use both the 2.0i and the 2.4i.
The SX increases an inch alloy on its tires (17 inches) and adds a sport suspension, McPherson independent suspension at the front axle and stabilizer bar and torsion axle at the rear axle. It also offers a sport cloth upholstery, depth adjustment of the steering, steering wheel and gearshift lever in leather lined, metallic pedals, metallic finishes and changes to the dashboard. This version only uses the more powerful engine: 2.4i.
For both models, the Forte Koup is equipped with sports seats, height adjustment of the driver’s seat, adjustable headrests, height adjustment of the steering, central locking, keyless entry, cruise control, dual exhaust tail, sound equipment with auxiliary input, USB connector and iPod docking.
In the security department, the Korean automaker Koup included in the ESP (stability control) system and tire pressure monitoring, front airbags, side and curtain airbags and ABS brakes.
Finally, the boot offers 350 liters of cargo and include everything needed for the bunch of weekend.
